Clinton A. Williams

? Services for Clinton A. Williams, 84, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at First Southern Baptist Church, Eudora. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mr. Williams died Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Eudora Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Yates Center, the son of Benjamin Lewis and Merta Girtrude (Bray) Williams.

Mr. Williams served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a heavy-equipment operator for Holiday Sand & Gravel for more than 30 years before he retired in 1983. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church.

He married Dessie J. Cox on Jan. 12, 1941, in Yates Center. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Ronald, Fairfax, Va., and Richard, Eudora; and two grandchildren.

An infant daughter, Shelia R. Williams, died Aug. 10, 1943.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary, where family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

The family suggests memorials to the church, sent in care of the mortuary.
