Tax concern
To the editor:
State income tax increase ?
I just read that the state is thinking of a way to increase money, and is proposing a 3 percent income tax increase, and a 1/2 percent sales tax increase.
This will cut an average of $100 to $120 a month from our spendable income, this is too much and will hurt many, many Kansans.
I would support a 1 percent sales tax increase but not an income tax increase.
They, “the state,” need to cut more waste and not dig deeper into our pockets. We cannot afford this increase in state income tax. If we let this slide by and take effect, it will devastate our state’s economy. I guarantee that.
