Donald Lee Scrivner

? Services for Donald Lee Scrivner, 72, Winchester, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Easton United Methodist Church. Another service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville, Mo. Burial will be at the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville.

Mr. Scrivner died Friday, May 2, 2003, at Jefferson County Geriatric Center in Winchester.

He was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Russellville, Mo., the son of George Adolph and Vinti Mae (Fahrni) Scrivner. He had lived in Winchester 37 years.

Mr. Scrivner was a 1948 graduate of Russellville High School and attended crimonology classes at Kansas University and Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Mo.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War from 1948 to 1952. He retired in 1984 after 20 years as a correctional officer at the Leavenworth Federal Prison. He also worked as an officer at the Missouri State Prison in Jefferson City, Mo., for seven years.

Mr. Scrivner was a member of the Federal Prison Retirees Club in Leavenworth, Davis-Gibson American Legion Post No. 387 of Winchester, and Easton United Methodist Church.

He married Jeannine Marie Amos on Jan. 31, 1953, in Russellville, Mo. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include four sons, Greg, Winchester, Neil, Auburn, Paul, Ardmore, Okla., and Wayne, Lawrence; a brother, Leo, New Bloomfield, Mo.; three sisters, Ruby Petree, Jefferson City, Mo., Cleo Taylor, Waldorf, Md., and Amy Jones, Russellville, Mo.; and 13 grandchildren.

A son, Roger, died earlier.

Friends may call in Easton from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Visitors may call in Russellville from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home.
