Harvey R. Herrstrom

Tonganoxie ? Services for Harvey R. Herrstrom, 76, Tonganoxie, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in Hubbel Hill Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Herrstrom died Saturday, March 29, 2003, at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Topeka.

He was born Oct. 14, 1926, in Tucson, Ariz., the son of Martin and Iona (Anderson) Herrstrom.

He retired in 1990 from the U.S. Steel Cyclone Fence Co. He served in the Air Force and was a member of the Iron Workers Union Local No. 10 in Kansas City, Mo.

Survivors include a son, James R., Tonganoxie; a daughter, Darlene Heard, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Elden, Spring Hill, Fla., and Walter, Louisburg; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the Tonganoxie Veterans of Foreign Wars, sent in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 993, Tonganoxie 66086.
