Kansas City, Mo. ? Haskell Indian Nations University won one of three games Friday during the Avila softball tournament.

The Fightin’ Indians lost to MidAmerica Nazarene University, 12-4; knocked off Kansas Wesleyan, 9-5; and were clipped by Grandview College from Des Moines, Iowa, 3-2.

“We played hard, but seven games in the last three days caught us a little bit,” HINU coach Gary Tanner said. “I think we were a little bit tired, but we’re playing hard and we’ll keep going.”

The Fightin’ Indians (13-5) return to Avila today for their final pool play game this morning against Missouri Baptist, then move on to elimination action.

Haskell will play host to a doubleheader Monday with York College.
