Community writing class still accepting students

Lawrence author Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg is offering a class called “Writing in Wonder and Awe” at the Southwind Health Collective, 941 Ky.

Classes began March 9 and will run for six weeks. There is a fee.

The six-week class brings together people who write or want to write poems, stories, essays and other forms of writing that help create “meaning on and beyond the page.”

Class participants receive a complete packet of writing prompts and exercises.

Youth symphony to hold auditions

Topeka — Auditions for the Topeka Symphony Youth Orchestra, Youth Philharmonic and Debut Orchestra will be at 8 p.m. March 29 in the Garvey Fine Arts Center at Washburn University.
