The University Bridge Club announces winners of its March 1 game, which was given by Bud and Bette Lukens, Mildred Hoffman and Don Binns.

The blue winners were Ralph Dunn, first; Florence McNicoll, second; Henry Wigington, third; Ed Stellmacher, fourth; and Lois Liebert, fifth.

The pink winners were Mona Langlois, first; Gini Wigington, second; Edna Galle, third; Judy Randolph, fourth; and Wilma Cropp, fifth.

The Lawrence 299er’s Duplicate Bridge Club met Feb. 26 for its weekly game. Eight pairs competed in a stratified game that used a Howell movement. Eldon Herd directed the game. Lynn Hui and Dan Osman claimed first place in A and B. Barb Hamilton and Bill Hamilton finished second in A and B. Manjiri Vaida and Yudu Vaida took third place in A. Bob Huffman and Hellen Huffman placed fourth.

The Lawrence TGIF Duplicate Bridge Club met Feb. 28 for its weekly contest. Six and a half tables competed in a stratified game that used a Mitchell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Playing North-South, Shirley Reese and Shirley Vaughn claimed first in A and B. Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough placed second. Chris Lane and Julia Brooks finished third. Ginny Johnston and Virginia Seaver placed fourth. Ann Tams and Bobbie Figgins finished first in C.

Playing the East-West cards, Dorothy Netson and Jeff Nash claimed first in A, B and C. Mike Blumenfeld and Cathy Blumenfeld finished second. Don Daugherty and Harry Talley took third place.

Don Bush and Bob Huffman finished first in A, B an C. Mike Blumenfeld and Cathy Blumenfeld took second in A and B. Julie Ward and Emily Foster placed third. Terry Tolar and Harry Shaffer placed fourth followed by Patt Radford and Bill Schutzell. Manjiri Vaid and Yudu Vaida came in sixth.
