Burglaries and thefts reported

  • Antique furniture valued at $13,000 was taken in a theft reported by a 58-year-old Lawrence woman. The theft occurred between noon June 7 and noon June 21 in the 400 block of North Iowa Street.
  • Two Solo-Baric 12-inch subwoofers valued at $500, an MTX 801D amplifier valued at $400 and a gray box valued at $100 were taken in an auto burglary reported by a 22-year-old Lawrence man. The burglary occurred between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 1:59 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of West Sixth Street.
  • A 1994 Ford Ranger was taken in a theft reported by a 19-year-old Lawrence man. The theft occurred between 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and 1:15 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of New Hampshire Street. The vehicle was recovered Friday.
  • A compact disc player and receiver valued at $1,500 and a vehicle DVD/navigation system valued at $1,500 were taken in an auto burglary and theft reported by a 22-year-old Lawrence man. The burglary occurred between 12:30 a.m. Wednesday and 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in the 4000 block of Overland Drive.
  • A dark green 1997 Saturn four-door valued at $8,000 was taken in a theft reported by a 36-year-old Lawrence woman. The theft occurred between 3 a.m. Tuesday and 7:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of North Michigan Street.
