The Lawrence 299ers Duplicate Bridge Club met June 18 for its weekly game. Eight pairs competed in a stratified game that used a Howell movement. Don Brennaman directed the game.

Don Daugherty and Harry Talley claimed first place. Chuck Hedges and Alice Leitch finished second. Dan Osman and Artie Shaw placed third in A and second in B. Judy Bevan and John Gilbert took second in B. Al Ballard and Betty Spalsbury were first in C.

Competing North-South, Chris Lane and Shirley Reese finished in first place. Clyde Romer and Kent McCullough placed second. Harry Shaffer and Lynn Hui came in third. Shari Krentzel and Debbie Bettinger took fourth in A and first in B and C.

Playing East-West, Cathy Blumenfeld and Mike Blumenfeld took first place in A, B and C. Virginia Seaver and Klee Zaricky came in second in A. Chuck Hedges and Yvonne Hedges placed third. Rose Roth and Frances Dunfiel were fourth in A and second in B and C. Virginia Eddy and Shirlie Vaughn were third in B.
