Nightingale services
Services for Edythe Lorraine Nightingale, 74, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Nightingale died Monday, June 16, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 27, 1928, in Rawlins, Wyo., the daughter of John L. and Gussie H. (Payne) Keller. She attended Wichita High School.
Mrs. Nightingale was a homemaker. She also retired from Kansas University as a cook.
She married Richard Nightingale Jr. on March 6, 1947, in Ottawa. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Rick Nightingale, Lawrence; two daughters, Carol Gonce and Sheila Supancic, both of Lawrence; two brothers, Jack Keller, Neodesha, and Bill Keller, Toledo, Wash.; a sister, Lois Bernard, Neodesha; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
A son, Randy Nightingale, died in 1991.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today.
The family suggests memorials to American Kidney Foundation, sent in care of the funeral home.
