Cat show scheduled for June 21-22

The Seventh Annual K.C. Midwest ACFA Cat Show, featuring purebred and household cats, will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 21-22 at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.

Eighty to 100 exhibitors from the United States and Canada are expected at the event. Also at the show will be: vendors selling a variety of products for cats and their owners; door prizes; and free samples from sponsors.

Hy-Vee Food Store, 4000 W. Sixth St., will be operating the food concessions.

Cost to attend the event is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and children.

Flyers advertising the show have been placed in locations around the city, such as veterinary clinics, the Lawrence Visitor Center, 402 N. Second St., the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt., and the Hy-Vee store on Sixth Street.

Attached to the flyers are coupons good for $1 off the admission price to the show.
