Berry finds fault with new home

Los Angeles Halle Berry filed a $2 million lawsuit against the former owner of her house, which she alleges needs more than $1 million in repairs.

Her lawsuit, filed Thursday in Superior Court, follows one filed June 10 by homeowners Jonathan and Alison Roth, who claim the actress knew about the condition of the property and bought it “as-is” in 2001.

Berry claims she and husband Eric Benet paid more than $2 million for the Beverly Hills house, but it “turned out to contain major undisclosed defects that would require over $1 million in corrective measures.”

Ford’s age doesn’t faze Flockhart

New York Calista Flockhart has been quiet about her romance with Harrison Ford for the past year and a half, but not anymore.

The “Ally McBeal” star was positively mushy about the 60-year-old actor in an interview with People magazine.

“I like the way he looks first thing in the morning,” Flockhart tells the magazine for its June 23 issue. “It’s not handsome. It’s more cute. He looks like a little boy. You know how when you wake up in the morning and you’re kind of puffy and rumpled and you look kind of vulnerable? That’s what he looks like.”

The 38-year-old actress says the age gap between her and the “Indiana Jones” star has never bothered her. The two met at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2002; Flockhart and her 2-year-old son, Liam, moved into Ford’s Los Angeles home earlier this year.

Letterman enjoys summer break

Los Angeles David Letterman is taking a few more Fridays off.

Or, more accurately, a few more hours on Thursdays. The host of CBS’ “Late Show,” who announced rather suddenly last week that someone else would host the Friday show, will turn the desk over to guest hosts for the rest of the month.

Tom Arnold filled in for Dave last week, and Tom Green was to do the honors this week.

“Frasier” star Kelsey Grammer and “Saturday Night Live” cast member Jimmy Fallon will fill in the following two weeks.

“I got no problem,” he said on the show last week. “It’s just that all my life I’ve worked, since I was 11 years old. And I just feel like its summer now; I’d like to take a day off.”

Hillary: I feel sorry for Monica

London Hillary Rodham Clinton says she feels sorry for everyone who was caught up in the scandal of her husband’s affair with Monica Lewinsky including Lewinsky herself.

In a British television interview broadcast Friday, the former first lady now a U.S. senator for New York said she felt sorry for everyone hurt by the “relentless partisan investigation” into her husband’s relationship with the White House intern.

Asked whether that included Lewinsky, Clinton replied, “Absolutely.”

In her new memoir, “Living History,” Clinton describes how the affair almost destroyed her marriage. She has now forgiven her husband.

“We hope to grow old together,” she said.
