Renegades roll; Outlaws take two

? Lawrence’s Renegades defeated Wichita’s Owls, 10-2, in a youth baseball game shortened by the run rule Saturday at the Augusta Tournament.

Ryan Engel, Spence Chaney, Joe Crane, Tom Bush and Kyle McManness each had two hits for the Renegades.

Crane had two RBIs and McManness had two runs scored.

Ryne Jackson was the winning pitcher.

The Renegades, 2-4 overall and 1-1 in the tournament, will resume play when they meet Wichita’s Wolverines at 11 a.m. today.

Outlaws win two

Topeka — Lawrence’s Outlaws defeated Ozawkie, 9-8, and Olathe, 10-8 in American Legion baseball Saturday at the Topeka Tournament.

Daniel Dulin, Jacob Landis and Troy Van Horn each had two hits in the first game. Dulin scored two runs.

Van Horn had a home run and three walks in the second game. Zach Puckett had two hits and four RBIs. Dulin had two hits and two runs scored and Aaron Westerhouse two hits.

The Outlaws 3-1 in the tourney and 3-2 overall, will play Arkansas City at 12:15 p.m. today at Topeka Seaman.
