Royals-Rockies postponed; doubleheader slated today

? The game between Kansas City and Colorado was postponed because of rain Friday night with the Rockies leading the Royals, 3-1, in the top of the fifth inning.

The game will be made up today as part of a split doubleheader. The makeup game will be at 2:05 p.m., with the regularly scheduled game to start at 7:05 CDT.

Preston Wilson’s solo homer and a two-run shot by Charles Johnson for the Rockies were wiped out. Play was stopped after two pitches in the top of the fifth.

After a delay of 2 hours, 10 minutes, and a forecast for more rain, umpires called the game.
