Mabel R. Davis

Mrs. Davis died Sunday, June 1, 2003, in Lawrence.

She was born May 21, 1910, in Comisky, the daughter of James F. and Marie (Reber) Lynn.

Mrs. Davis worked as a supervisor at Hallmark Cards Inc. plants in Emporia and Lawrence. She retired in 1975.

She had been a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Emporia and Memorial United Methodist Church in Neosho Rapids, where she also was organist.

She married William C. Davis on April 10, 1931, in Emporia. He died Sept. 28, 1964.

Survivors include a son, William Davis, Wichita; two sisters, Alverta VanGundy, Plano, Ill., and Bernice Siegle, Emporia; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Robert and Richard Davis, died earlier.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.
