Last week’s results

The Shawnee Mission district of the Muscular Dystrophy Assn. received calls from three groups willing to volunteer at the association’s Jerry Lewis Telethon. Gina Adams said the organization needed 40 people to answer phones at all times and about 50 people working behind the scenes, so there were still more volunteer opportunities. To work at the show, which broadcasts on KCTV-5 at 10:30 p.m. Aug. 31, and at 6 a.m. Sept. 1, call Adams at (913) 859-0632, or e-mail her at shawneemissiondistrict@mdausa.org.
