Breanna and Michael Burkart

Breanna Amanda Murphy and Michael Joseph Burkart, both of Denver, were married Dec. 31, 2002, at Our Lady of Loretto Chapel, Denver. The bride’s father, Judge Jack A. Murphy, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Colleen Boggs Murphy, Denver, and Jack and Rosemary Murphy, Baldwin.

The groom is the son of William and Barbara Burkart, Black Butte Ranch, Ore.

Bridesmaids were Molly Murphy, Molly Burkart, Susan Brennan, Nancy Byrne, Ronit Hicks, Anna Jose and Robyn Stern.

Groomsmen were William Burkart, Kevin Daly, Jason Damaschino, Paul Karst, John David Lanigan, John O’Keefe and Gregory Volm.

Owen Murphy escorted the bride to the altar.

Ushers were Doyle Murphy, Hugh Murphy and Jason Fell.

Gabriel Murphy was vocalist. Constanza Goetz and Kristen Kofoed were program attendants. Readers were Carrie Bulrice, Katherine Couglin and Matt Smith.

A reception was at the Denver Design Center.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in business administration from the University of Denver. She works for Genesis Inc., Denver.

The groom is a graduate of St. Mary’s College in Moraga, Calif., and is controller at Stonecreek Funding, Denver.

The couple live in Denver.

Harrison-Hazlett

Leslie and Dale Hazlett

Leslie Harrison and Dale Hazlett, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 20, 2002, in Lawrence with the Rev. Vince Krische officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Sid Harrison, Lawrence, and the late Raydell Harrison. The groom is the son of Don and Sandra Hazlett, Lawrence.

Lisa McLoon and Lynn Ollila were matrons of honor. Jeff Brown was best man. Michael Hazlett was groomsman.

Jeff Harrison, Ron Buhr, Brian Trigg and Neal Sharma were ushers. Matthew Cobb and Ken Ollila were readers. Kirsten Rysko and Cara Harrison were guest book attendants.

A reception followed in Lawrence.

The bride graduated from Lawrence High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Kansas University. She is a graduate student in business at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

The groom graduated from LHS and the University of Colorado-Boulder. He received a juris doctorate and master’s degree in business administration from KU and works for Digital Evolution Group.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Glantz-Mangan

Darin and Susan Mangan

Susan Ann Glantz and Darin Lee Mangan, both of Lawrence, were married July 3, 2003, in Lawrence with Judge Peggy Kittel officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David and Mary Ann Glantz, Carlisle, Pa. The groom is the son of Darrell and Rose Mangan, Garden City.

Matron of honor was Julie Tollefson. Best man was John Tollefson.

The bride is a 1989 graduate of Leavenworth High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in atmospheric science in 1994 and a master’s degree in accounting and information systems in 1996 from Kansas University. She received an associate’s degree in nursing in 2000 from Kansas City Kansas Community College. She is a registered nurse at St. Joseph Health Center in Kansas City, Mo.

The groom is a 1985 graduate of Garden City High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1998 from KU. He works at Schlumberger REDA Production Systems in Lawrence.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Angell-Jasso

Marlo Angell and Peter Jasso were married May 16, 2003, in Rome with the Rev. Maurizio officiating.

The bride is the daughter of David Angell, Syracuse, N.Y., and Elaine Angell, Orlando, Fla. The groom is the son of Kerry Wedel, Topeka, and Paula Jasso, Topeka.

Missy Jasso was maid of honor. John Jasso was best man. JudeAnne Jasso-Murad was bridesmaid. Nathan Angell was groomsman.

A reception followed at Les Etoiles in Rome. During the trip, the couple met the pope.

The bride graduated from the University of Southern California school of cinema-television. She is a freelance filmmaker.

The groom also graduated from the USC school of cinema-television. He is director of the Kansas Film Commission.

The couple live in Lawrence.

Ryan and Christina Wisdom

Christina Marie Poell and Ryan Brant Wisdom were married May 17, 2003, at Corpus Christi Catholic Church with the Rev. James Shaughnessy officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Tim and Linda Poell, Manhattan. The groom is the son of Eric and Elaine Wisdom and Ron and Ginger Schwerdt, all of Manhattan.

Amanda Poell was maid of honor. E.J. Wisdom was best man. Andrew Limbocker was groomsman.

Chris Graham and Ryan Wilson were ushers. Garrett Goering was ring bearer. Cassidy Goering was flower girl. Amanda Poell and Kim Krannawitter were readers.

Rachael Wisdom was guest book attendant. Peggy Cameron was cantor. Sally Cameron was organist. Travis Graham was cross bearer. Nicholas and Stacy Poell were greeters.

A reception was in the church social hall.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree in sports science at Kansas University. She works for Home Helpers Inc. in Lawrence.

The groom graduated from Manhattan Area Vo-Tech in building trades and is a student at Johnson County Community College. He remodels houses for a private business in Lawrence.

The couple live in Lawrence.
