Collins Services

Graveside services for Ada Madalyn Collins, 69, Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Collins died Sunday, July 13, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 28, 1934, in Sibleyville, the daughter of Estel Byard and Ada Francis (Edwards) Moore. She graduated from Baldwin High School in 1953.

Mrs. Collins worked as a nurse’s aide at Cherry Manor Nursing Home in Lawrence and Orchard Lane Nursing Home in Baldwin. She had also worked at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Later, she worked for Farmer’s Co-op before she and her husband purchased a plumbing business, which they ran until 1996.

She married Thomas Lane Collins on Dec. 19, 1951, in Baldwin. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include a son, Jerry Collins, Baldwin; three daughters, Marla Webster, Lawrence, and Candi Stout and Lorie Collins, both of Baldwin; a niece whom she raised, Sherry Stout, Winnetka, Calif,; a brother, Max Moore, Baldwin; a sister, June Allis, Baldwin; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Baldwin.
