Lawrence commuter report

The following events and construction projects may affect commuter traffic in the region this week:

U.S. Highway 75 at 46th Street, traffic detoured through roundabout for construction.

U.S. Highway 24 at U.S. 75 interchange, inside lanes closed for bridge repainting.

Interstate 70 from the Shawnee/Wabaunsee county line to the Valencia Road interchange, traffic reduced to one lane each direction and speed limit reduced to 60 mph for road reconstruction.

U.S. 24 from Kansas Avenue to two miles east of the Shawnee/Jefferson county line, one lane each direction, with a 12-foot width restriction, for road overlay.

U.S. 24 at the Stonehouse Creek bridge, traffic reduced to one direction at a time for bridge rehabilitation.

U.S. 24 from the U.S. Highway 59 junction to Sixth Street in Tonganoxie, traffic controlled for milling and overlay. Delays up to 15 minutes expected.

Kansas Highway 10 from Evening Star Road to Cedar Creek Parkway, westbound traffic reduced to one lane for bridge repair; K-10 from Lexington Avenue to Cedar Creek Parkway, eastbound traffic reduced to one lane for bridge repair.

Phish, 7:30 p.m. Thursday; 99.7 KY Birthday Bash, 8 p.m. Saturday, Verizon Wireless Amphitheater, Bonner Springs.

Kansas Highway 32 and Nettleton Avenue, intersection closed for construction. Detours posted.

Kansas Highway 7, lane and ramp closures for road milling and overlay.

Kansas Highway 32 from K-7 to 59th Street, lane restrictions and closures for milling and overlay.

I-70 at Interstate 635, traffic placed on existing westbound lanes for road reconstruction. I-635 between Metropolitan Avenue and Parallel Parkway, traffic placed on existing southbound lanes for road reconstruction. Several associated ramps closed.

Interstate 35 at Southwest Boulevard, northbound exit ramp and southbound entrance ramp closed for bridge replacement.

Kansas City Royals vs. Seattle Mariners, 7:05 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, Mo.

U.S. Highway 69 from Blue Valley Parkway to Johnson/Miami county line, traffic reduced to one lane with intermittent ramp closures for milling and overlay.

These city construction projects may affect traffic this week:

Wakarusa Drive, north of Sixth Street, closed for road improvements.

North Michigan Street, no through traffic north of the Woodcreek Town Homes entrance to Riverridge Road for road improvements.

North Third Street from Industrial Lane north to city limits, traffic restricted to one lane each direction for milling, overlay and curb repair.

Seventh Street from New Hampshire to New York streets, and 600 block of New Hampshire Street lane restrictions for line installation.

11th Street from West Campus Road to Maine Street, westbound traffic only for curb repair.

Jayhawk Boulevard from West Campus Road to 13th Street, one-way eastbound for line installation.

Camelback Drive, Camelback Place and Doral Court, lane restrictions for milling, overlay and curb repair.

Kasold Drive from Clinton Parkway to 26th Street, lane restrictions for milling, overlay and curb repair.

27th Street from Belle Haven Drive to Louisiana Street, closed for storm sewer improvements.

Nebraska Street, on-street parking restricted for line installation.

21st Street from Massachusetts Street to Barker Avenue, Vermont Street from 20th to 22nd streets, and Rhode Island Street from 20th to 22nd streets, closed for storm sewer improvements.
