Clarence C. Dieker

? Services for Clarence C. Dieker, 86, Garnett, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Garnett. Burial will be at St. Teresa Cemetery, Westphalia.

Mr. Dieker died Friday, July 11, 2003, at Life Care Center in Burlington.

He was born Feb. 15, 1917, in Westphalia, the son of Clement and Helena (Weber) Dieker. He graduated from Westphalia High School in 1934. He moved to Garnett in 1980.

Mr. Dieker was a farmer in the Westphalia area. He owned the Phillips 66 station in Westphalia and drove a tank wagon for 10 years. He then drove a school bus in Garnett for 10 years. He was a third-degree member of Knights of Columbus, Westphalia, and a member of Holy Angels Church, Garnett.

He married Marie Frisch on Feb. 5, 1940, in Westphalia. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Glenn, Lawrence, and Jerry, Lancaster, Pa.; a daughter, Dorothy Rolf, Sheldon, Iowa; a brother, Bernard, Ulysses; a sister, Ann Michael, Colony; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A great-grandchild died earlier.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. today at Farris-Feuerborn Memorial Chapels, Garnett. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home, where family will receive friends after the rosary.
