Forum to introduce students to law schools

Kaplan Test Prep, a company specializing in test preparation and admissions, will present “Think About Law” from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. July 28 at University of Missouri-Kansas City school of law, 500 E. 52nd St.

The free forum will allow attendees to meet admissions officers from the UMKC and Kansas University schools of law.

Participants also can talk with law school admissions officers and lawyers about getting into law school, succeeding in school and career opportunities for those with a law degree.

KU MedWest to offer facial care seminar

KU MedWest will offer a free seminar called “The Timeless Face — Unlock the Power,” at noon Tuesday at KU MedWest, 7405 Renner Road in Shawnee.

Dr. David Kriet, a plastic surgeon, will discuss skin care, prevention and options for facial rejuvenation. Facial skin cancer screenings will be offered. Lunch is provided.
