Kelch services

Graveside services for Donald LeRoy Kelch, 64, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant View Cemetery in Oskaloosa.

Mr. Kelch died Monday, July 7, 2003, in Lawrence.

He was born Dec. 24, 1938, in Topeka, the son of Raymond Otis and Maxine (Shaw) Kelch. He grew up in Oskaloosa and graduated from Oskaloosa High School in 1958.

Mr. Kelch was a mechanic for 42 years and for the past three years drove a truck for United Suppliers of Eudora. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include a companion, Mildred Vanderslice, of the home; a stepson, Roy Vanderslice, Lawrence; six stepdaughters, Marie Kennedy and Nancy, both of Lawrence, Tracy and Ruby, both of Holton, Tammy, Colorado, and Tina, Eudora; his mother, Maxine Scott, Oskaloosa; two brothers, Jerry and Billy, both of Lawrence; and a sister, Neota Heffner, Lawrence.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.
