Burglaries and thefts reported

• A 1989 Chevrolet Beretta valued at $1,500 was reported stolen Saturday from Midwest Motors, 629 N. Second St., according to Lawrence Police.
• A Ford Escort belonging to International Pines, 1992 E. 1440 Road, Lawrence, was taken sometime last Tuesday, Lawrence Police said. The car had been parked in the 400 block of North Second Street. About $500 worth of power tools were inside the car.
