Six-year-old Brody Riemann, the Eudora boy who suffered head injuries when he fell Sunday into the basement of a house under construction southwest of Eudora, was listed in fair condition Monday afternoon at Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.

The accident occurred about 3:40 p.m. Sunday in the 1900 section of North 1200 Road about four miles southwest of Eudora, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s office.

The boy was initially taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by ambulance and then transferred to Children’s Mercy Hospital.

Brody and another 6-year-old boy were at the construction site while Brody’s father, Gill Riemann and another man were doing some work, according to the sheriff’s office.
