Thompson helps McLouth girls win JCN opener

? Leigh Anna Thompson finished with a career-high 19 points as McLouth held off Perry-Lecompton, 64-58, Tuesday in the first round of the Jefferson County North girls basketball tournament.

Courtney Edmonds added to the McLouth attack by grabbing 16 rebounds and dishing out seven assists.

McClouth will take on Atchison Mount Saint Scholastica on Friday in semifinal play at Jefferson County North High School. Perry-Lecompton will play Oskaloosa in the consolation semifinal on Friday.
