STILLWATER, OKLA. ? Beating Oklahoma State on the road would have been a tall order for Missouri under the best of circumstances. Without their second-leading scorer, the 11th-ranked Tigers had no chance.

Playing without suspended point guard Ricky Clemons, Missouri fell into an early hole and couldn’t get out as the 24th-ranked Cowboys easily won their 12th in a row, 76-56, on Saturday.

Oklahoma State (14-1, 3-0) took a quick 14-2 lead, widened it to 40-16 later in the half and led by as many as 35 in the second half.

Victor Williams scored a season-high 24 and Melvin Sanders added 15 while leading another stifling defensive performance for the Cowboys, who were coming off a 48-46 victory over No. 5 Oklahoma.

“Clemons is a great player, and that definitely hurt them on the offensive and defensive end,” Williams said. “But not to take anything away from our defensive effort. I think if he was out there, we would have attacked him the same way.”

The Cowboys held Missouri (10-3, 1-1) 24 points below its season average. The Tigers had just 36 points before outscoring Oklahoma State, 20-5, in the final eight minutes.

Sanders, who shut down Oklahoma’s Hollis Price on Monday, held Ricky Paulding to 10 points on 3-of-12 shooting. Paulding came in averaging a team-high 17.7 points per game.

Clemons was suspended after being charged Friday with second-degree domestic assault against a 20-year-old girl, which he has denied.

His suspension left the Tigers with nine players in uniform — backup point guard Josh Kroenke didn’t play due to tendinitis in his knees.

“Obviously we were short on personnel, but I’m not using that as any excuse,” coach Quin Snyder said. “I thought Oklahoma State played terrific. When they jump on you like that with their shots, and you have some guys in unfamiliar territory to begin with, we were looking uphill the whole game.”

No. 4 Texas 89, Texas A&M 61

Austin, Texas — T.J. Ford scored a career-high 25 points with an array of pull-up jumpers, layups and one thunderous dunk to lead Texas over Texas A&M.

Ford was 9-of-16 from the floor, 7-of-7 from the foul line and had six steals before leaving with 3:51 left and Texas up 76-50.

Jason Klotz added 15 points and James Thomas had 16 rebounds for Texas (12-2, 3-0 Big 12), which has won seven in a row since losing at then-No. 1 Arizona on Dec. 15. The Longhorns also have won 27 of the last 30 in the series with in-state rival Texas A&M.

Bernard King led the Aggies (9-5, 1-2) with 16 points.

No. 5 Oklahoma 70, Iowa State 60

Ames, Iowa — Bouncing back from his worst game of the season, Hollis Price made nine three-pointers and scored 31 points to lead Oklahoma past Iowa State.

In its first game since losing at Oklahoma State 48-46 on a disputed shot, Oklahoma (11-3, 2-1 Big 12) made sure it wasn’t put in that situation again.

The Sooners opened a 12-point lead in the first half and turned back Iowa State (10-4, 0-3) when the Cyclones made a second-half run.

Nebraska 80,Colorado 77, OT

Lincoln, Neb. — Nate Johnson hit a driving layup with 7.7 seconds remaining in regulation, then scored four of Nebraska’s 12 points in overtime to lead the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska (9-7, 1-2 Big 12) had its biggest lead in the second half when John Turek hit a jumper to give the Huskers a 55-50 lead with 11:27 left.

But Colorado (11-5, 1-2) scored six straight to take a 56-55 lead with 9:40 remaining, and neither team led by more than three the rest of the way.

The Buffaloes took a 68-66 lead with 13 seconds left in regulation when Michel Morandis made one of two free throws. He hit just two of six free throws in the final 1:02 of regulation.

Johnson scored on Nebraska’s next possession before a Morandis jumper in the lane bounced out to send the game into overtime.

The overtime period was as tight as the second half. Neither team led by more than two until Corey Simms hit a free throw with three seconds left for the final margin.

Texas Tech 80, Baylor 64

Lubbock, Texas — Kasib Powell scored 26 points as Texas Tech pounded Baylor. Tech (11-2, 1-1) steadily built a lead after trailing early. Baylor (9-5, 0-3) pulled within five points at 50-45 with about 14 minutes remaining, but could get no closer. During a six-minute stretch that followed, the Bears failed to score a field goal. Andre Emmett scored 18 points for Texas Tech, which lost 68-44 to Kansas State a week ago.
