? Michel Morandais scored 25 points, including five points in the final 3:13, and Colorado snapped Kansas State’s eight-game winning streak with a 69-63 win on Wednesday night.

The Buffaloes (11-4, 1-1) got 12 points from Blair Wilson — all in the second half — and 11 from Stephane Pelle.

Kansas State (10-5, 1-1) was led by Tim Ellis’ 14 points. Matt Siebrandt added 12, and Pervis Pasco had nine points and 14 rebounds.

Colorado, bouncing back from Saturday’s 69-54 loss to Oklahoma, went up 42-34 on Morandais’ dunk on an alley-oop pass from Pelle early in the second half.

Kansas State cut the deficit to four points, but Morandais hit a 13-foot jumper, Wilson a three-pointer and Antoine McGee a driving layup for a 52-41 lead with 10:37 remaining. Moments later, Wilson’s two free throws gave Colorado its biggest lead, 57-44.

A pair of three-point baskets by Gilson DeJesus in the final 27 seconds made the score respectable.

K-State’s comeback hopes were hurt by poor free-throw shooting (3-of-12) in the second half.

No. 4 Texas 82, Baylor 71

Waco, Texas — Brandon Mouton scored 18 points, seven in an 16-1 second-half run that put No. 4 Texas ahead to stay, and the Longhorns earned their sixth straight win.

Texas (11-2, 2-0) hadn’t led since the opening basket — and had trailed by as many as 11 points before halftime — until Mouton broke a 45-all tie by driving the baseline for a reverse layup. He was fouled and added the free throw with 14:48 left.

The Longhorns are 10-0 against Baylor (9-4, 0-2) under fifth-year coach Rick Barnes. Texas has won 35 of the last 42 games in the series.

Terrance Thomas had 17 points and John Lucas added 16 for Baylor.

Texas A&M 53, Nebraska 52

Lincoln, Neb. — Bernard King scored 18 points as Texas A&M squandered an 11-point second half lead but held on.

The Aggies (9-4, 1-1) held Nebraska without a field goal for the first seven minutes of the second half, building a 40-29 lead.

Nebraska (8-7, 0-2) then countered with a 10-1 run, cutting the Aggie lead to 41-39 on Brennon Clemmons’ putback with 8:40 left, but came no closer.
