IN 1903

From the Lawrence Daily World of Jan. 11, 1903: “The long-haired individual who was saunting along the downtown street this morning with a string tied to his waist was the populist candidate for Congress in the Sixth District four years ago. The officers investigated the case thoroughly and found it purely accidental, and that the Chandler boy was not to blame for the shooting.”
