Brittany Merriam, Derby, has been listed in the latest edition of Who's Who Among American High School Students. She is the daughter of James and Robyn Merriam, Derby, and the granddaughter of Annie and Dan Merriam, Lawrence.

The cheer squad at Barton County Community College placed fourth among the nation's junior colleges in the pre-rankings for competition in the NCA/NDA Collegiate National Championship, which will be in April. Alyson Scaletty, Lawrence, is a member of the squad.

John Jenkins Jr. and Jessica Evans, Lawrence, announce the birth of their daughter, Kyleigh Alexandreia Jenkins, June 18, 2002, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Maternal grandparents are Winona Evans and Robin Evans. Paternal grandparents are Paul and Marsha Alexander, and John Jenkins Sr.

Great-grandparents are Eva-Mae Johnson, Myrtle and Irvin Andres, Betty and Frank Alexander, and Marjorie Jenkins.
