Country songwriter to take Ottawa stage

? Country singer/songwriter Jim Owen will perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at Ottawa’s Municipal Auditorium, 301 S. Hickory St.

Owen wrote “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” for Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn, a song that netted him two gold records and one platinum. He’s been covered by Waylon Jennings and Jimmy Dean. He also portrayed Hank Williams in two television movies and did the soundtracks himself.

In September 2002, Owen was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
