Walter Leroy Holladay

? Services for Walter Leroy Holladay, 90, Independence, Mo., will be at 1 p.m. Friday at D.W. Newcomer’s Sons Noland Road Chapel in Independence. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Independence.

Mr. Holladay died Sunday, Feb. 23, 2003, at Independence Regional Hospital.

He was born Feb. 1, 1913, in Lawrence, Kan., the son of John Joseph and Fannie Mae (Godfrey) Holladay.

Mr. Holladay was a machinist tool-and-die maker. He was a Mason, Shriner, Cub Scout leader, Boy Scout leader and member of Tribe of Mic-O-Say.

He married Mary Holladay. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two sons, Jim and Bob; two brothers, John and Leonard; a sister, Edna; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel.
