Clemons breaks hand

? Missouri starting point guard Ricky Clemons will be sidelined indefinitely after breaking his hand in Saturday’s 89-68 loss at Colorado, Tigers coach Quin Snyder said Monday night.

Clemons, a junior averaging 16 points and a team-high 4.5 assists per game, fractured the second metacarpal in his left, non-shooting hand Saturday when he collided with Colorado guard Michel Morandais in the second half.

Clemons did not practice Monday.

Josh Kroenke will start Wednesday for Clemons when Missouri (16-7 overall, 7-5 Big 12 Conference) plays host to No. 3 Oklahoma (19-4, 10-2).

Kroenke, who has been bothered by chronic knee problems, averages 3.7 points and 18 minutes a game.

The injury marks the latest setback this season for Clemons, who last week pleaded innocent to a Boone County felony alleging that he choked a woman and refused to let her leave his Columbia apartment last month.
