? After losing 22 straight games on the road, Baylor coach Dave Bliss had just the right word for a win that started — of all things — a road winning streak.

“It’s uncanny,” Bliss said. “It seems like we lost 122 on the road and now we’ve won two. With a young basketball team, you never quite know what is going to happen.”

Lawrence Roberts scored 19 points to lead Baylor past Kansas State, 66-57, Wednesday.

Baylor (12-10, 3-8 Big 12) held off a late KSU rally to win back-to-back conference games for the first time this season, with both wins coming on the road. The Bears beat No. 16 Oklahoma State, 74-72, Saturday.

Baylor held its biggest lead of the game at 54-40 midway through the second half before a 9-0 K-State run closed the gap to 54-49 with 5:35 remaining.

“We just fell apart,” said forward Matt Siebrandt, who led Kansas State (12-12, 3-8) with 18 points. Frank Richards added 11 points for KSU.

No. 5 Oklahoma 64, No. 16 Oklahoma State 48

Norman, Okla. — Hollis Price scored 22 points and Kevin Bookout had 15 points and 12 rebounds, leading No. 5 Oklahoma to its 35th straight home victory. OU (18-4, 9-2) remained tied with Texas for second place in the Big 12.

Texas A&M 66, Iowa State 54

College Station, Texas — Bernard King scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half as A&M 13-9, 5-6 Big 12) pulled away from ISU (12-10, 2-9).
