Kidd services

? Services for Naomi J. Kidd, 77, Eudora, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Regular Missionary Baptist Church, Lawrence. Burial will be in Eudora Cemetery.

Mrs. Kidd died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, in a fire at her home.

She was born May 18, 1925, in Lawrence, the daughter of Oscar and Blanche (Perry) Russell. She graduated from Eudora High School in 1942.

Mrs. Kidd was a clerk for Kansas Cleaners. She later worked at USbank, formerly Mercantile Bank and First National Bank, as a teller and in human resources from 1968 to 1992. She was a member of First Regular Missionary Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She had been financial secretary, clerk and member of Silver Leaf Club and chaired the A.L. Parker Scholarship Fund until her death. She had also been president and a member of Lawrence Business and Professional Women’s Club, Heroines of Jericho and Order of Cyrenes.

She married Leon Daniel Kidd. He died Feb. 16, 1982.

Survivors include a stepson, Leon Kidd Jr.

Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The family suggests memorials to the A.L. Parker Scholarship Fund, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
