Lois Ruth Thomas

Mrs. Thomas died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, at Olathe Medical Center. She was cremated.

She was born Dec. 29, 1934, in Wellsville, the daughter of Walter Reason and Maggie Olive (Wright) Revey. She attended Wellsville schools and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1953. She lived most of her life in the Wellsville area.

Mrs. Thomas retired from the health field in 1998 and moved to Mound City. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She married Richard D. (Coffman) Thomas on June 1, 1952. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include three sons, Robert W. Thomas and Donathan R. Thomas, both of Wellsville, and Gerald L. Thomas, Girard; three daughters, Clarice A. Johnson and Charlee J. Juett, both of Wellsville, and Cheryl M. Troyer, Burlington; two sisters, Katheryn Jean Shields and Mary Ann Shields, both of Mound City; a brother, Walter Reason Revey Jr., Spring Hill; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
