Billie Jo Rhodes
Services for Billie Jo Rhodes, 50, Lawrence, will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church. Private burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Rhodes died Sunday, Feb. 9, 2003, in a car accident north of Kansas City, Mo.
She was born June 23, 1952, in Lawrence, the daughter of William H. and Dorothy (Tynes) Schindler. She attended Emporia State University for two years.
Mrs. Rhodes was a clerk at Stitch On Needlework and a member of First United Methodist Church.
She married Robert H. Rhodes on Aug. 9, 1994, in Lawrence. He died Oct. 15, 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Carrody Buchhorn, Eudora; a son, Jeff Landis, Lawrence; a stepson, Scott Rhodes, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a brother, Karl Kreitzer, Gig Harbor, Wash.; two sisters, Jeannine Maturo, Lawrence; and Darlene Schaake, Ellensburg, Wash.; and three grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials to First United Methodist Church in Baldwin or Lawrence, sent in care of Warren-McElwain Mortuary.
