Title IX success
To the editor:
The Jan. 30 Journal-World featured a picture of the KU women’s basketball team on the front page of the Sports section. It’s a great picture showing the joy of a team at the time of an important win. I wish all our legislators in Washington had that picture before them to remind them of what stands to be lost if the administration has its way in hamstringing Title IX. Some things, like Title IX, Headstart, protecting wilderness areas and funding for education, need to continue in spite of allegiance to business interests or old-boy ties.
