Dorothy Lucille Todd Muck

Memorial services for Dorothy Lucille Todd Muck, 92, Lawrence, are pending and will be announced by Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mrs. Muck died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2003, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.

She was born June 20, 1910, in Salina, the daughter of Charles and Florence (Ekey) Todd. She graduated from Salina High School in 1928, attended Park College in Parkville, Mo., for two years, and completed her bachelor of arts degree at Kansas Wesleyan University in 1932 with a major in English and a minor in history. She lived in Beloit for 52 years before moving to Presbyterian Manor in Salina. She moved to Lawrence in fall 2001.

Mrs. Muck taught at Athens Rural High School near Glen Elder for two years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and Minerva Club. She also was a charter member of Beloit Music Club.

She married Dalton H. Muck on July 14, 1934, in Salina. He died in December 1995.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Callaway, Lawrence; two sons, Steven Muck, Carlsbad, Calif., and David Muck, Pleasanton, Calif.; a sister, Mildred Todd, Winnetca, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A son, Arthur Muck, died in December 1965.

The family suggests memorials to Good Samaritan Fund at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, sent in care of the mortuary.
