Delene ‘Cozy’ Corzine

Services for Delene “Cozy” Corzine, 74, Lawrence, are pending and will be announced by Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home, Anna, Ill.

Mr. Corzine died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2003, in Lawrence.

He was born Sept. 13, 1928, in the Mount Pleasant area of Union County, Ill., the son of Bill and Velma (Miles) Corzine. His daughter had been caring for him in her Lawrence home with the help of Heart of America Hospice of Topeka for 18 months.

Mr. Corzine owned and operated Corzine’s Body Shop and Wrecker Service and was retired from the state of Illinois Department of Corrections.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, Cobden, Ill., Cobden Masonic Lodge, Anna Oasis Shrine Club, Ainad Temple, Anna Eastern Star, Illinois Police Assn., a charter member of Anna Moose Lodge and a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason.

He married Betty June Fritz on May 22, 1948. She died April 22, 2002.

Survivors include a daughter, Darlene Nunez, Lawrence; a sister, Dorothy Astin, Dongola, Ill.; a brother, Delmus, Cabot, Ark.; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
