Zeddie D. Glover

Services for Zeddie D. Glover, 84, Lawrence, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary.

Mrs. Glover died Thursday, Dec. 18, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Summerfield, Miss., the daughter of John and Sallie (Randolph) Fleming.

Mrs. Glover had lived in Lawrence since 1967. She worked for Stokely Van Camp and Ramada Inn and was a certified nurse’s assistant at Valley View and Wakarusa Care Home. She was a member of Praise Temple.

She married Jesse D. Glover on Nov. 25, 1934. He died in May 1984.

Survivors include six daughters, Jessie Mae Stafford, Hollandale, Miss., Sallie Stafford, Pantherburn, Miss., Vinnie Mae Dunigan, Chicago, Gloria Glover and Shirley Ann Glover, both of Lawrence, and Levorn Glover, Federal Way, Wash.; two sons, Charles Glover and William Milton Glover, both of Lawrence; 61 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Willa Lou Rhodes, a grandchild and a great-grandchild died earlier.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the mortuary.

The family suggests memorials to Douglas County Visiting Nurses Assn. or Praise Temple, sent in care of the mortuary.
