Marilyn Gay Broyles

? Services for Marilyn Gay Broyles, 71, rural Baldwin, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Worden United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Worden Cemetery.

Mrs. Broyles died Monday, Dec. 15, 2003, at her home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Waverly, the daughter of Clarence Jack and Gladys Mae (Young) Everley. She attended Linwood schools and graduated as valedictorian from Linwood High School in 1949. She moved in 1955 to Lawrence and in 1979 to the Worden community.

Mrs. Broyles worked for Lawrence National Bank, then at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in admissions for 22 years before she retired.

She was a member of Worden United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

She married Bob Broyles on Dec. 15, 1951. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Patti Watkins, rural Baldwin, and Jan Green, Lawrence; a son, Lee Broyles, rural Baldwin; and seven grandchildren.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

The family suggests memorials to the church or Hospice Care of Douglas County, sent in care of the funeral home.
