Harold Richard Brown Jr.

? Graveside services for Harold Richard Brown Jr., 47, Rantoul, will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Maple Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.

Mr. Brown died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, at his home.

He was born Oct. 30, 1956, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of Harold R. Sr. and Betty (Ellifrits) Brown. He grew up in Kansas City, Kan., and attended Washington High School. He moved seven years ago to Rantoul.

Mr. Brown worked in the Kansas City area for Metro Tow for many years. He also owned and operated Brown’s Complete Auto in Kansas City. He worked for Ottawa Ford and for the past year had worked at Wettstein Auto Repair and Welding in Garnett.

He was a member of Bass Anglers Sportsman Society, B.A.S.S. Federation and Backlashers Bass Club. He also raced cars at Kansas City International Raceway and Lawrence Drag Strip.

He married Lissa Ann Jackman on July 19, 1980, in Roeland Park. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include two daughters, Melissa Ann Harrell, Shawnee, and Amanda Kaye Brown, of the home; his father, Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Danny, Kansas City, Kan., David, Tonganoxie, and Wayne, Basehor; a sister, Donna Brown, Edwardsville; and four grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home in Ottawa.
