Burglaries and thefts reported

  • Someone illegally used a 20-year-old Kansas University student’s financial card and took more than $1,000 in currency, according to a police report. The theft happened in October but was reported Wednesday, according to the report.
  • A 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee worth $20,000 disappeared between Dec. 6 and 2:30 a.m. Friday from an address on Regency Place, according to a report. The vehicle belonged to a 32-year-old Lawrence woman. Also reported missing were 50 compact discs and a cell phone.

Condition report

  • Natalie Gump, 77, who was injured Nov. 13 in a two-vehicle head-on collision near Midland Junction, has been in serious condition this week at University of Kansas Hospital, Kansas City, Kan. A nursing supervisor didn’t return phone calls late Friday night for a condition update.
