Steven and Rachel Bressler

Rachel Shulamith Shapiro and Steven Yale Bressler, both of Washington, D.C., were married Oct. 19, 2003, at Circle S Ranch in Lawrence with Rabbi Vered Harris officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gary Shapiro, Richmond, Va., and Lynne Margolies, North Manchester, Ind., both formerly of Lawrence. The groom is the son of Melvin and Diane Bressler, Rochester, N.Y.

Maid of honor was Lori Thomas. Best man was Patrick Raulerson. Bridesmaids were Anna Kehde and Sara Sackman. Groom’s attendants were Brian Gruber, Robin Tannenbaum and Bonnie Walker. Abigail Carter was guestbook and program attendant. Kyle Kimball was usher. Flower girls were Kalila Shapiro and Madeleine Thomas.

A reception was given at Circle S Ranch.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of Lawrence High School. She graduated from Wesleyan University in 1995 and from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1999. She is an attorney at a law firm in Washington, D.C.

The groom graduated in 1991 from Brighton High School, Rochester, N.Y. He graduated from Oberlin College in 1994 and the University of Michigan Law School in 2001. He is a trial attorney in the civil division, federal programs branch of the U.S. Department of Justice.

The couple reside in Washington, D.C.

Wright-Adams

Ryan and Jill Adams

Jill Wright and Ryan Adams, both of Lawrence, were married June 27, 2003, at Liberty Hall, Lawrence, with the Rev. Dean Williams officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Chuck and Cindy Wright, Madison Lake, Minn. The groom is the son of John and Janet Adams, Lawrence.

Matron of honor was Jan Dimmitt-Olson. Best man was Nate Williams. The bride’s attendants were Mike Wright, Aimee Mares and Brandie Seay. The groom’s attendants were Jennifer Myers, James Myers and Christian Black. Ring bearer was Braeden Wright. Ushers were Pete Cluthe and Jay Deiser. Readers were Jill LaPoint, Leigh Geis, Bryanna Guy, Dylan Guy and Connor Every. Whitney Juneau was soloist.

A reception was given at Liberty Hall. The Williams family was host.

The bride is a 1991 graduate of Sgt. Bluff-Luton High School. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1996 from the University of Northern Iowa and a master’s degree in 1999 from Kansas University. She is a graduate teaching assistant in the department of teaching and leadership at KU. She also is an adjunct English instructor at Johnson County Community College.

The groom is a 1992 graduate of Lawrence High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming in 1997. He is a math teacher at South Junior High School. He is a swimming and diving coach at LHS.

The couple reside in Lawrence.

Allen-OBrien

Kelly and William O'Brien

Kelly Ann Allen and William Dale O’Brien, both of Lawrence, were married Sept. 20, 2003, at Central United Methodist Church in Lawrence with Pastor Kevin Williams officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dale Allen, Osawatomie, and Karlene Allen, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Edward and Sandy O’Brien, Lawrence.

Maid of honor was Monica Triplett. Best man was Brian Williams. Bridesmaids were Heather Allen, Billie McDermott and Heather Oberer. Groomsmen were Shane Triplett, Jason Lewis and Matt Larkin.

Flower girls were Caitlin Pinegar, Madelyn Pinegar and Alexia Davis. Vocalist was Matt Means. Organist was Sylvia Lind. Ushers were Dan Butler and Mike O’Brien.

A reception was given at the Eagles Lodge in Lawrence.

They are Lawrence High School graduates. He is employed by Comet Corp.

The couple reside in Baldwin.

Imber-Pulsinelli

Molly Imber and Michael Pulsinelli

Molly Clare Imber and Michael Sterling Pulsinelli, both of Westwood, were married Oct. 25, 2003, at Danforth Chapel in Lawrence with Judge Mike Malone officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Michael and Jane Imber, Lawrence. The groom is the son of William and Barbara Pulsinelli, Memphis, Tenn.

Maid of honor was Avni Gupta. Best man was Alan Hsu. Bridesmaids were Reena Gupta and Chrissy Pulsinelli. Groomsmen were Thom Cantey and Jake Imber. Readers were Diane Tortolani and Amy Lawton. Guitarist was Steve Vitale.

A reception was given at the Eldridge Hotel in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1996 Lawrence High School graduate. She received a Bachelor of Science in biology in 2000 from Yale University. She is a third-year student at KU medical school.

The groom is a 1996 graduate of Memphis University School. He received a Bachelor of Arts in English in 2000 from Yale University. He received a master’s degree in arts and teaching from Brown University in 2001. He is an English teacher at Shawnee Mission East High School.

The couple reside in Westwood.
