- KU leads the all-time series, 8-1. KU defeated the Cardinal, 86-63, March 16, 2002 in St. Louis in the NCAA Midwest Regional. That was the last meeting between the teams.
- KU is 2-0 all-time at the Wooden Classic.
- This marks the 10th annual Wooden Classic. Ten years ago, in the first Wooden Classic, then-No. 7 KU shocked No. 1 UMass, 81-75.
- KU is 54-28 all-time versus schools from the Pac-10.
- Stanford is 3-0 after beating Sacramento State (77-59), UC Irvine (72-59) and Rice (60-56).

- Kansas is 4-0 all-time in Anaheim, Calif. KU went 2-0 in Anaheim last year, beating Arizona, 78-75, in the NCAA Elite Eight and Duke, 69-65, in the Sweet 16. The Jayhawks first played in Anaheim Dec. 3, 1994, defeating top-ranked Massachusetts, 81-75, at the Wooden Classic.
