Broncos priming fans for Sunday’s game

Denver dubbed Sunday’s game “12th Man Sunday” and asked fans to wear orange. There also are plans to hand out 75,000 pompoms.

Normally players and coaches don’t get caught up in promotions, but coach Mike Shanahan said it was important for the fans to make it as difficult as possible on the Chiefs.

Denver uncertain on WR O’Neal’s return

The Broncos aren’t sure when wide receiver Deltha O’Neal will return to the team. He has been in the Bay Area for two days visiting with his father, who’s battling cancer.

Coach Mike Shanahan didn’t talk to O’Neal, but asked his wife to relay a message.

“I told him to take as much time as he needs,” Shanahan said.
