Foster-Carson

Allison K. Foster, Lawrence, and Eric J. Carson, Overland Park, were married May 23, 2003, at Plymouth Congregational Church in Lawrence with the Rev. Peter Luckey officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Alea Lafond, Lawrence, and Larry and Barbara Foster, Omaha, Neb. The groom is the son of Richard and Miki Carson, Austin, Texas.

Maids of honor were Ashley Lafond, Nicole Lafond and Emily Foster. Bridesmaids were Amie Carson, Jill Hinrich, Aly Old and Angie Packard. Best man was Stephen Howard. Groomsmen were Barry Bennington, John Besch, Jon Davis, Jason DeGrave, Brian Flinn and Chad Parker.

Caly Bond and Sadie Rowlette were candlelighters. Cara Armstrong was guest book attendant. Kristina Waye was reception attendant.

A reception followed at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott in Lawrence.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Lawrence High School. She received a bachelor’s degree in communications from Kansas University. She is employed by Direct Buy of Johnson County.

The groom is a 1995 graduate of Blue Valley Northwest High School. He studied business at KU. He is employed by Direct Buy of Johnson County.

The couple reside in Overland Park.

Bruner-Mier

Jennifer Rebecca Bruner and David Michael Mier were married June 21, 2003, at Plymouth Congregational Church with Lew Hinshaw officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. Steve and Kathy Bruner, Lawrence. The groom is the son of Ron and Mary Mier, Lawrence. Grandparents are William and Katherine O’Connor, Fairway, and Jo Smith, Denver.

Maid of honor was Katie Bruner. Best man was Justin Allen. Bridesmaids were Courtney Carle and Christina Mier. Groomsmen were John Mier and Eric Carlson. Ushers were Brian Sobek and Daniel Sobek. Alyssa Strange was flower girl. A.J. Orth was ring bearer. Marci Zigler was soloist. Jeff Ward was organist. The bride’s personal attendants were Dawn Trotter and Maggie Daugherty. Readers were Mary Dailey and Patty Pantoja.

The bride and groom are 1994 graduates of Lawrence High School.

The groom received a degree in engineering from Kansas University. He is a structural engineer in Boulder, Colo. The bride received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. She is a delivery room nurse.

The couple took a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia. They reside in Erie, Colo.
