Chicago Board of Trade

Grain futures prices were mixed and soybean futures prices were higher in trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat futures prices retreated after opening higher on weekly export sales data released by the U.S. Agriculture Department. Sales of 1.29 million metric tons were 74 percent higher than the previous week’s figures, but were not enough to keep the market moving higher. Prices fell as traders began to finalize trades ahead of the three-day Labor Day weekend.
