Seeking truth

To the editor:

I am wondering how the Episcopal Church can accept the homosexual lifestyle if it is teaching from the Bible. Either you believe all the Bible says, or you don’t believe any of it. In Revelations 22:18-19, God warns of the danger in taking away or adding to his word, the Bible.

Proverbs 14:12 quote: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end leads to death.” In Romans 1:25-26, God very plainly states how he feels about homosexuality. He calls it unnatural and indecent. In Leviticus 18:22, he calls it an abomination. The definition for abomination from Reader’s Digest Encyclopedia dictionary is “anything that excites disgust, hatred or loathing, any detestable act.” Yes, God loves everyone; it is the act of sin he hates. People’s way of thinking changes to whatever they want in life, right or wrong. God’s way doesn’t change; it remains the same. As for those people in a teaching or preaching position saying the gay lifestyle is acceptable, I wouldn’t want to be in your shoes on Judgment Day.

If you want the truth, it’s all there in the Bible; read it. Check 1 Corinthians 6:9.
