Irene M. Moorman
Services for Irene M. Moorman, 91, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. Burial will follow in Fowler Cemetery four miles north of McLouth.
Mrs. Moorman died Monday, Aug. 18, 2003, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
She was born Aug. 5, 1912, in Jefferson County, the daughter of William Shrines and Catherine Phyllis (Klymaszewski) Lombard. She attended Valley Grove School in Jefferson County and Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence.
Mrs. Moorman was a member of the Methodist Church in Panama City, Fla. She worked at Woolworth’s in Lawrence and a ladies ready-to-wear store in Panama City until she returned to Lawrence in 1995.
She married Ray Moorman in May 1937. He died in 1994.
Survivors include a sister, Bertha K. Beguelin, Lawrence; a brother, Floyd Lombard, Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice, sent in care of the mortuary.
